I'm hardly throwing away any keys. They've been in jail under three weeks. There's no established method for release, which is why it is taking me longer to organize than I would prefer, but it shouldn't be much longer.
Disarming is removing somebody's weapon. What he removed from them was a vital part of their being. I've seen both of them since, and from those interactions I would compare what he did with mutilation, not disarming. And regardless - he had no authority to do that, particularly to Tempest given that she was already in custody and had been for days with no attempt to harm anyone.
